I am a researcher, engineer, and builder whose work focuses on developer tooling and engineering productivity. I see software engineering as a social and cognitive psychological problem and approach it using that lens.

I studied Psychology and Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. There, I worked under Michael Hicks and Jeffrey Foster in the PLUM research group. I collaborated with Christopher Hayden to build the Kitsune dynamic software updating system. Afterwards, I attended University of Massachusetts and worked under Yuriy Brun. While in academia, I focused heavily on practical empirical evaluations of tools in context.

In my industrial career, I’ve worked as an engineer and product manager in the field of developer infrastructure, tooling, and experience. I’ve worked at large, medium, and small companies and supported internal and external developer populations. My overall mission is to make developers happier and more productive.

In my personal time, I enjoy reading, creating glitch art, exploring New York City, and playing with mice.
